Report: Titans UDFA Anthony McKinney will opt out of 2020 season

The Titans are now down to 13 undrafted free agents.

The list of NFL players opting out of the 2020 season because of the COVID-19 pandemic continues to grow, and now we can add a Tennessee Titans player to the list.

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, undrafted free agent and offensive lineman out of Texas Christian, Anthony McKinney, has decided to opt out, although a specific reason wasn’t given in the report.

McKinney is the first Titans player to opt out, and with that decision the Titans’ roster is now down to 80 players, which is the new number teams must hit by August 16th in order to avoid having to use split squads in training camp.

The Titans recently trimmed their roster from 87 to 81 by waiving six players.

McKinney faced an uphill climb in making the Titans’ roster, as the team already has a solid starting group upfront and decent veteran depth behind it.

With McKinney no longer in the mix, Tennessee will now have 13 undrafted free agents in training camp. For a full list of all players who have opted out throughout the league, Touchdown Wire has you covered.
