It’s no secret that the Tennessee Titans have been interested in Jadeveon Clowney this entire offseason, but it appears that despite “multiple offers”, the Titans haven’t been able to meet his price tag.
According to ESPN’s Dianna Russini, the Titans and Seattle Seahawks both remain interested in Clowney, however neither has been able to come up with an offer that he likes.
I'm told the Seattle Seahawks and the Tennessee Titans are still interested in Jadeveon Clowney. Both teams have made multiple offers, but nothing that matches Clowney's desired price tag. Sources believe "he is just not in a hurry to sign".

Echoing Russini’s report, ESPN’s Jordan Raanan says Clowney is willing to wait it out in the hopes he can get the best deal possible after teams check him out.
There is a belief that Clowney will wait this out. Wait until everything opens up so teams can check him physically and he can see what is truly the best offer. With no camps or anything now, he doesn't appear to be in a rush. https://t.co/GQEBLtgUu1

It was thought that perhaps the hold up in a Clowney signing is that teams are waiting for a physical — and there was even once a thought that the compensatory pick deadline was playing a factor.
However, it appears there is no secret deal already in place with Clowney for any team and he’s simply waiting it out to get the money he wants.
This is a situation that could drag out for much longer, unless there’s a team willing to succumb to his demands right now, which reportedly went from north of $20 million at one point to around $17 to $18 million.
The Titans have the cap space to make such an offer, but either that still isn’t enough or Tennessee is trying to get him for cheaper.
