After signing quarterback Trevor Siemian late in training camp, the Tennessee Titans are reportedly releasing the veteran signal-caller ahead of the deadline for teams to cut their rosters down to 53.
The news comes from NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.
#Titans are releasing QB Trevor Siemian, source says. Gotta figure he’ll have options.

This is obviously good news for Logan Woodside, who was competing with Siemian for the backup quarterback job behind Ryan Tannehill.
Of course, we can’t rule out the Titans bringing in another veteran option, but for now Woodside looks like a safe bet to make the initial 53-man roster.
