Report: Titans promoting DL Naquan Jones to active roster

Jones was an undrafted free agent signing of the Titans following the 2021 NFL draft.

With the Tennessee Titans in need of another defensive lineman on their active roster, the team will reportedly promote 2021 undrafted free agent signing Naquan Jones from the practice squad.

The news comes from Justin Melo of Broadway Sports.

Jones will be taking the spot of recently released defensive lineman Anthony Rush, who played just 16 snaps over the first two games after originally making the roster out of training camp.

Jones, who missed out on making the cut in favor of Rush, was signed to the practice squad after clearing waivers following final cuts.

We would expect another move on Wednesday, or in the coming days, as Jones will give the Titans 52 players on their active roster.

Along with Rush, safety Bradley McDougald was also released. Chances are there will be another addition in the secondary with Tennessee having just three safeties on the roster with Amani Hooker on Injured Reserve. Elijah Molden and Chris Jackson can play the position as well if need be.
