Report: Titans’ Kristian Fulton (knee) to ‘miss a few weeks’

It isn’t clear if the Titans will place Fulton on IR, though.

On Monday morning we discovered that Tennessee Titans cornerback Kristian Fulton was going for an MRI to determine the severity of a knee injury he sustained in Week 7 versus the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Well, apparently he dodged a major injury, as Paul Kuharsky is reporting that Fulton is expected to “miss a few weeks” with his ailment, although it isn’t clear if the Titans will opt to put the rookie on the three-week IR.

Regardless, losing Fulton is yet another blow to a Titans secondary that has struggled. Granted, Fulton hasn’t made quite the impact Tennessee would have hoped thus far, but there isn’t much else behind him.

The second-round pick played 34 snaps before exiting early on Sunday. It remains to be seen who will be deployed at slot corner in the meantime, but seventh-round pick Chris Jackson played there after Fulton left the game.

While Fulton will be subtracted for what looks like at least a few weeks, one very big potential addition could be coming this week, as No. 1 cornerback Adoree’ Jackson could make his season debut in Week 8.

Jackson was designated to return from IR last week and practiced all three days, but he ended up not being activated prior to the Steelers game.
