The hits continue to roll for the Texas Longhorns defense. On Saturday the Longhorns fell to the Texas Christian Horned Frogs 33-31. After taking the lead in the fourth, the defense was unable to keep TCU quarterback Max Duggan from marching down the field. In fact he ran it right up the middle relatively untouched and the offense just couldn’t do enough to win the game.
On Sunday afternoon it was reported that redshirt freshman defensive back Kenyatta Watson would enter into the transfer portal. Justin Wells of Inside Texas was the first first to report the story. Watson has played sparingly this season despite the defenses inability to stop the opposing offenses over the last two games.

Watson has appeared in four games over two seasons with the Texas Longhorns. He has recorded six tackles with one pass defended in that time. Watson fell behind D’Shawn Jamison, Josh Thompson and Jalen Green in the rotation and just hasn’t been able to showcase his skillset.
