Trader Bill is at it again.
According to a report from Ian Rapoport on Thursday, the Houston Texans traded one of their 2020 second-round picks and a future fourth-round pick to the Los Angeles Rams for receiver Brandin Cooks.
On March 16, the Texans traded three-time All-Pro receiver DeAndre Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals. In free agency, the club signed slot receiver Randall Cobb. Now, it appears the reigning AFC South champions are adding to their receiving corps.
“Every season is different and any decision we make is with the team in mind — Capital T, capital E, capital A, capital M,” coach and general manager Bill O’Brien told Texans season ticket holders on a conference call on April 3.
Cooks had experience in an offense similar to the Texans when the former New Orleans Saints 2014 first-round pick was with the New England Patriots in the 2017 season.
