The Texans have decided to not add defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan to their roster.
According to a report from the Houston Chronicle’s Aaron Wilson, the Texans feel comfortable with their depth at defensive tackle and uncomfortable with Jernigan’s injury history.
Thus, the AFC South champions will not make official a one-year, $3.75 million contract that had $1.25 million guaranteed.
The report stated that Dr. Robert Watkins cleared Jernigan. However, the former Raven and Eagle missed six games in 2019 due to injury and then 13 the year prior
