Report: Teams bound for Orlando expressed ‘strong interest’ in Long Island’s Justin Anderson

Justin Anderson may find a new home before the NBA restart begins at Disney toward the end of July.

The Brooklyn Nets have already taken advantage of the NBA’s “transaction window,” during which the 22 teams that are bound for Disney at the end of July can sign replacement players. After requesting waivers on Theo Pinson on Tuesday (the first day of the “transaction window”), Brooklyn signed free agent guard Tyler Johnson.

Pinson has since been picked up by the New York Knicks. But he may not be the only one to leave the organization before the “transaction window” comes to a close on June 30.

Justin Anderson, who spent some time in Brooklyn before finishing out the G League season with the franchise’s affiliate, the Long Island Nets, could be on the move, as well.

According to Ian Begley of SNY, “several teams heading to Orlando for the NBA’s re-start have expressed strong interest in signing Justin Anderson.” Begley also added the teams interested in Anderson “highly value” his defense.
