According to ESPN NFL reporter Adam Schefter, the Pittsburgh Steelers believe linebacker T.J. Watt suffered a torn pectoral last in Sunday’s overtime win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Accoring to Schfter, the team will confirm on Monday.
It certainly looked like a pectoral injury in the moment and many watching the game believe Watt actually said he tore his pec as the walked to the sidelines.
An surgical repair of a torn pec could mean the end of the season for Watt before it even gets going. Head coach Mike Tomlin will address the media again on Tuesday and we will look further confirmation at that time.
Steelers believe TJ Watt tore his pec and he is scheduled to undergo scans Monday to confirm diagnosis, per source.
