Report: Sixers to sign Kentucky’s Justin Edwards to two-way deal

The Philadelphia 76ers will sign Kentucky’s Justin Edwards to a two-way deal after he went undrafted.

The NBA draft is officially in the books as the Philadelphia 76ers selected Duke guard Jared McCain in Round 1 on Wednesday and UCLA big man Adem Bona in Round 2 on Thursday.

However, just because the draft is done, it doesn’t mean the Sixers still aren’t looking at any young players. Of course, they did this in 2023 with the additions of Ricky Council IV and Terquavion Smith who were signed shortly after going undrafted.

The Sixers will now bring in another undrafted player in 2024. They will sign Kentucky forward Justin Edwards to a two-way deal. He averaged 8.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, and shot 36.5% from deep as a freshman in the 2023-24 season.

Edwards will get a chance to prove himself with the Sixers in the summer league. Philadelphia will participate in the Salt Lake City summer league as well as the one in Las Vegas. That will give him an opportunity to earn his spot in the NBA.
