The Philadelphia 76ers are in need of some shooting as they get set for the 2020 NBA draft on Wednesday night. The Sixers have five draft picks that they can utilize in order to make upgrades to their roster.
There is one player that has been linked to the Sixers recently due to the fact that he can shoot the ball and that is Arkansas sophomore Isaiah Joe.
The Sixers have shown interest in Joe in the past as they look to make the most out of their abundance of picks, but now it appears that they have made a promise to him that they will select him. The Sixers have picks at 21, 34, and 36 early so they will most likely look into those selections for him.
Draft rumor making the rounds: Speculation that Isaiah Joe has a promise from the 76ers, either at 21 or 34.

Joe shot 37.8% from deep across two seasons at Arkansas, but he shot 34.2% from deep as a sophomore. That may seem like a low number, but when one takes into consideration that he took 10.6 attempts from deep, it makes sense.
This is very similar to when they made a “promise” to 2019 draft pick Matisse Thybulle. He only worked out for Philadelphia and the Sixers moved up to number 20 in order to select him and bring him to the team. This looks like it could be a similar situation as they could possibly have to move up in order to select Joe on Wednesday. [lawrence-related id=39185,39179,39175]
