The Indianapolis Colts officially announced the hiring of Gus Bradley as defensive coordinator and it appears the coaching staff under him is being assembled.
Though nothing is official until the team announces it, former Las Vegas Raiders defensive backs coach Ron Milus “looks likely” to join Bradley’s defensive staff with the Colts, per Stephen Holder of The Athletic.
It isn’t yet clear the nature of his role should Milus join the Colts’ staff.

Milus has been one of the highest-regarded defensive backs coaches in the NFL and he’s been with Bradley since the latter took over as defensive coordinator of the Los Angeles Chargers in 2017.
Milus has had a long history of coaching in the NFL. He started working as the defensive backs coach for the Denver Broncos in 2000 and has had several roles all over the league since.
In 2013, he was named the running backs and secondary coach for the Chargers. Then he was solely named the secondary coach in 2014. He held that role (later switched to “defensive backs coach”) with the Chargers through the 2020 season, which wound up being the entirety of Bradley’s tenure with the team.
Milus then followed Bradley to Las Vegas when the latter was named the defensive coordinator of the Raiders. With Patrick Graham now taking over as the new defensive coordinator there, it makes sense that Milus would follow Bradley to Indy.
The Colts have a strong secondary when it comes to their starters and adding Milus would be a strong move for the entire unit.
