Based on everything I've heard, don't bank on the #Redskins targeting the TE position in the 3rd round. Obviously the way the board falls will determine what they do, but they're expecting the value at TE to come later than pick 66.

The Washington Redskins have a major need at the tight end position, and they are almost guaranteed to leave the 2020 NFL Draft with a solid player who can potentially give valuable minutes right away.
That doesn’t mean that they are going to use their second pick in order to grab one, though. Consider these two facts: Washington has several other needs on their roster, including at wide receiver, cornerback, linebacker, and offensive line; the TE draft class is fairly deep this year, and the drop off between the top overall prospect and the fifth prospect is not a huge one. Because of this, we could likely see the Redskins wait until the fourth round — where they have two picks — or even the fifth, to draft a TE.
While the third pick will likely be a wide receiver or a cornerback, there is still expected to be some incredible value at TE in the fourth round. That is when you’ll likely see names like Hunter Bryant, or Thadeus Moss, or Adam Trautman, or Albert Okwuegbunam, or Jacob Breeland get drafted. Of course, if someone triggers the run of TE draft picks early, that could change things up a bit as Washington is forced to try and grab the guy that they want before it’s too late, but the safe bet is that the Redskins will remain patient and try to maximize their value in every round.
