Report: Rams RT Rob Havenstein not expected to play vs. Lions

Rob Havenstein is not expected to play against the Lions in the Rams’ season opener tonight

The Los Angeles Rams are expected to be without both of their starting offensive tackles in tonight’s season opener against the Detroit Lions. With Alaric Jackson already suspended for two games, Rob Havenstein is also likely to sit out Week 1 with an ankle injury.

Havenstein is listed as questionable but Jay Glazer said on the FOX Sports pregame show Sunday that he’s expected to be out against the Lions. If Havenstein is indeed out, the Rams will start Warren McClendon Jr. at right tackle, with Joe Noteboom at left tackle.

It’s certainly not the way Los Angeles wanted to start the season, especially against a team as talented as the Lions are.
