Report: QB Deshaun Watson earns big contract extension with Texans

Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson has finally earned the big contract extension from the AFC South club that the two-time Pro Bowler deserves.
According to Ian Rapoport from the NFL Network, the former 2017 first-round pick from Clemson has agreed to a contract extension that runs through the 2025 season worth $160 million.
The extension has the terms that Watson was looking for in terms of a shorter contract rather than a 10-year deal similar to the Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes.
Watson also gets paid $40 million a year, an annual salary certainly deserving considering what he has brought to the franchise.
The 24-year-old completed 67.3% of his passes for 3,852 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions in 15 games last year. Watson also ran for 413 yards and seven scores
