Report: Patriots to sign former Texans RB Lamar Miller

New England added another running back to the room on Monday.

The New England Patriots have bolstered their running back room. They agreed to a one-year deal with former Houston Texans running back Lamar Miller on Monday, according to ESPN.

Miller is coming off a torn ACL last preseason. A member of the Texans, he suffered the injury against the Dallas Cowboys, ending his season.

Over the course of his career, Miller has rushed for 5,808 yards, and 32 touchdowns. His best season statistically came in 2014 as a member of the Miami Dolphins. That year, he rushed for 1,099 yards and eight touchdowns.

He made the Pro Bowl in 2018 with the Texans, as he put together another solid year. He played in 14 games, starting all of them. Rushing for 973 yards and five touchdowns, he showed that he still had something left in the tank.

It will be interesting to see what Lamar Miller can bring to the running back room. Led by Sony Michel, the position room is deep for New England  as the season nears.
