The New England Patriots plan to hire Taylor Embree as their running backs coach, according to a report from NFL on CBS’ Jonathan Jones.
Embree, who got his coaching start as a graduate assistant at UNLV in 2012, most recently worked with the New York Jets from 2021-2023 as their running backs coach.
He served as the tight ends coach at Colorado in 2020 and also served as a defensive assistant for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2016. He also gained experience as an offensive quality control coach for the San Francisco 49ers from 2017-2019.
Embree played the wide receiver position at UCLA and tallied 137 catches for 1,776 yards and four touchdowns during his time with the program.
