Report: Panthers rebuffed 4 teams with trade interest in QB Bryce Young

According to FOX’s Jay Glazer, four teams have contacted the Panthers about the potential availability of QB Bryce Young.

NFL insider Jay Glazer provided a little more detail about the current state of the relationship between the Carolina Panthers and Bryce Young.

On today’s episode of FOX NFL Sunday, Glazer reported that four teams contacted the Panthers to inquire about a possible trade for the struggling second-year quarterback. He added that Carolina, in turn, rebuffed all four of those advances . . .

Glazer’s information comes off the heels of a similar report from ESPN senior NFL insider Adam Schefter. Schefter, on Saturday night, wrote that Young has drawn the interest of “several teams” following his benching earlier this week.

Like Glazer, Schefter noted that the organization is not looking to trade away the 2023 No. 1 overall pick. Head coach Dave Canales told reporters the same on Tuesday.

“Yeah, that’s not something we’re really considering,” Canales said of the trade speculation surrounding Young. “We have a great situation with our quarterbacks right now, with guys that have experience. So, we love where we’re at.”

Young was benched after Carolina got off to a disappointing 0-2 start. He passed for just 245 yards and three interceptions between the pair of outings.

14th-year veteran Andy Dalton will be under center for the team’s Week 3 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders later this afternoon.
