The Vikings may face off against their old quarterback after all.
Panthers quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, drafted by the Vikings in the first round, is on track to play Sunday, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
Pelissero reported that both Bridgewater and running back Christian McCaffrey will practice Wednesday. However, McCaffrey’s status is still up in the air, per Pelissero.
Pelissero also added some illuminating context in regards to Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen.
The wideout was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Monday. Pelissero said that Thielen had a positive test for COVID-19, but also had a negative test. As it stands, Thielen’s playing status for Sunday is still up in the air.
The Vikings are 4-6, while the Panthers are 4-7. If either team wants to string together an unlikely run to the playoffs, it starts with winning in Week 12. It should be a fun game, especially if Bridgewater and McCaffrey are both available for the Panthers.
