Report: Oregon Ducks viewed as favorite for QB Dillon Gabriel, with visit upcoming

The Oregon Ducks have reportedly jumped out as a favorite to land a transfer from former Oklahoma QB Dillon Gabriel, per ESPN.

The Oregon Ducks are in the market for a new quarterback in the transfer portal with Bo Nix heading off to the NFL, and it’s looking more and more like they might have found a target.

That target is former Oklahoma Sooners QB Dillon Gabriel, who entered the transfer portal on Monday with one year left of eligibility.

According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, the Ducks are currently viewed as the favorite to land Gabriel, who is expected to take a visit to Eugene soon before making a decision.

It’s unclear when that visit will take place, but this is expected to move fast. There is a good chance that at decision will be made within the next day or two.

Throughout his career, Gabriel has been prolific when it comes to putting up numbers. He’s thrown for almost 15,000 yards in his career, with a 125-26 TD-to-INT ration in those five seasons. Most recently, Gabriel threw for 3,360 yards 30 TDs, and 6 INTs while also rushing for 12 TDs.
