One of the most exciting games not only on Notre Dame’s schedule but in all of college football this season was to be the Irish and Wisconsin’s showdown at Lambeau Field in October.
So much for that as the Big Ten is reportedly set to announce they will only play conference games in 2020, according to a report from The Athletic’s Nicole Auerbach.
The Big Ten is expected to announce today that it will go with a conference-only football schedule for this fall, a person with direct knowledge situation tells @TheAthleticCFB.

Now the question is what happens to Notre Dame’s football season if all conferences decide to go this route?
We’ll have more on that shortly but in the meantime it feels like this is just the first of many dominoes about to fall in the world of big-time college football in regards to the 2020 season.
