Report: NFL will spend $75 million on COVID-19 testing

The COVID-19 testing program for the NFL is going to run the league around $75 million.

The cost of testing players will be steep for the NFL as it attempts to keep everyone safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.

How about around $75 million? That is what the daily tests and subsequent further swabbing will wind up running the league, Sports Business Daily reported Tuesday.

This comes a day after Pro Football Talk reported BioReference Laboratories will be charging a flat fee covering up to 120 tests per team per day, with extra tests available at $125 each. The teams will pay 1/32nd of the total fee, and they will individually pay for any extra tests that they require.
