At 1-6, the Houston Texans aren’t considered a credible threat to make the postseason, even with the expanded format with seven teams per conference. In fact, the club somewhat punted on the 2020 season when they fired Bill O’Brien as coach and general manager on Oct. 5, the day after the club slipped to 0-4.
NFL teams perceive the Texans as waving the white flag for the season. As such, teams in contention are trying to pick from Houston’s roster and see if there are any helpful pieces to put themselves over the top.
According to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, the Texans have fielded calls about trades involving receivers Randall Cobb and Will Fuller. However, the draft picks involved have not met the Texans’ asking price.

During the 2019 trade deadline, the Texans took calls from teams regarding All-Pro receiver DeAndre Hopkins. Though the rumors at the time seemed farfetched, and more to see if the Texans would bite on a great raft of draft picks, Houston did end up dealing Hopkins. Similarly, if the Texans are taking calls on these offers, it could be worth watching to see if Houston ultimately deals these receivers.
