Thibodeau has a 352-246 (.589) record while coaching a combined eight seasons with the Chicago Bulls (five) and Minnesota (three).
He was named NBA Coach of the Year in 2011 and was a Knicks assistant under Jeff Van Gundy from 1996 to 2004, so this should make Spike Lee and other Knicks fans pleased.
Maybe this will put of Thibodeau’s Minnesota misery behind him as he attempts to lead the Knicks back into the postseason, something he did with the Timberwolves for the first time in that franchise’s history.
