It takes a Heisman Trophy winner to follow Tom Brady in New England.
Bill Belichick told his team Cam Newton will be the starting quarterback for the Patriots in 2020, according to the Boston Globe.
Newton, the former Auburn star, came to New England after being cut by the Carolina Panthers.

The position while enviable is going to be challenging, following the G.O.A.T., who has taken his talents to South Beach.
Newton has been injury-plagued the past couple seasons but all signs point to him being healthy for 2020. He beat out Jarrett Stidham and Brian Hoyer to earn the starting position.
