The Brooklyn Nets were set to take part in the first professional sporting event in the United States without fans present as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak. They were just starting a California road trip and set to face the Golden State Warriors on Thursday.
Then everything changed on Wednesday when the Utah Jazz found out their All-Star center, Rudy Gobert, had preliminarily tested positive for COVID-19. Gobert’s teammates underwent testing and Utah’s All-Star guard, Donovan Mitchell, also tested positive for COVID-19.
The Toronto Raptors have since announced that their players and the members of their traveling party have received the COVID-19 test, but they have not announced any findings yet.
Maggie Gray of WFAN is reporting the Nets will undergo testing for COVID-19 on Saturday. She was informed about this by Brooklyn center DeAndre Jordan.
Just ran into DeAndre Jordan at Whole Foods, he says he thinks the entire Nets team is getting tested for COVID-19 tomorrow.

As of now, the NBA has suspended the 2019-20 season for 30 days. NBA commissioner Adam Silver has said it’s too soon to say the season will be canceled, but he has not ruled out the possibility.
