The 2020 NBA draft class may not be the strongest, but there seem to be some appealing candidates expected to go just outside the lottery.

Multiple reports indicate the Brooklyn Nets are looking at multiple options for both their first-round pick (No. 19, via the Philadelphia 76ers) and second-rounder (No. 55).

Maryland big man Jalen Smith and TCU sharpshooter Desmond Bane have themselves revealed they spoke to Brooklyn, while it’s been reported the Nets also talked to Moravian Prep wing Josh Hall, Memphis forward Precious Achiuwa, Stanford guard Tyrell Terry, Kentucky guard Immanuel Quickley, SE Melbourne wing Terry Armstrong. Brooklyn has also reportedly worked out New Zealand Breakers guard RJ Hampton.

Now, the Nets could very well use both of their picks. But it appears they’re exploring all options — which isn’t exactly a major surprise, since Brooklyn is in win-now mode.

According to Jonathan Givony of ESPN, the Nets’ No. 19 pick is among “the most prevalent in trade conversations lately.”

The Sacramento Kings (No. 12), Boston Celtics (No. 14), Timberwolves (No. 17), Dallas Mavericks (No. 18) and Miami Heat’s (No. 20) picks are the other, per Givony.
