The front office overhaul continues for the Philadelphia 76ers as they continue with general manager Elton Brand’s plea to get more basketball minds into the building. After making a few hires recently to revamp the people who make decisions, they have now added a former NBA All-Star.
The Sixers are bringing in Philadelphia native Jameer Nelson into the organization and he will join the team as a scout and he will also serve as an assistant general manager for the Delaware Blue Coats.
It was first reported by NBC Sports Philadelphia’s John Clark as he writes:
Source tell NBC Sports Philadelphia the Philadelphia 76ers and general manager Elton Brand are hiring the former Saint Joseph’s standout as a scout and assistant GM for the Delaware Blue Coats, the organization’s G-League team.
It was later confirmed by a team source that Nelson will serve in these exact roles.
