According to a report from ESPN, Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett has claimed that Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph directed a racial slur at him before their fight last Thursday night. Garrett made the accusation while meeting with the league this week as part of the appeal of his indefinite suspension for attacking Rudolph on the field.
It didn’t take long for Rudolph, via his attorney, to fire back at the allegation.

Garrett has spoken about the incident more than once since the game but this is the first time the notion of a racial slur being the impetus for Garrett’s actions has been brought up. Obviously, Rudolph denies that, and at this point, it all comes down to whom the NFL and the court of public opinion believe.
