Report: LeBron James buys mansion owned by ‘The Young and Restless’ creator

Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James bought a swanky new home in Beverly Hills, which is considerably closer to Staples Center.

Over the past few weeks we’ve seen LeBron James and the several off-court businesses he’s involved with, whether it’s the newly formed SpringHill Company or the continued expansion of Klutch Sports. And after that success, which included an investment of $100 million into the new SpringHill Co., James bought a staggering mansion in L.A., previously owned by a couple of legends in the entertainment business.

The Real Deal, which covers L.A. real estate news, reported on Monday that James has purchased a mansion in Beverly Hills that was previously owned by ‘The Young and Restless’ soap opera creator, Lee Phillip Bell. The property was previously listed at $39 million, though it’s unclear what James ultimately paid. LeBron previously bought two homes in the Brentwood neighborhood of L.A.

The report suggests that James was also exploring the property owned by the late Paul Allen, but it appears that he has decided on the mansion of the late soap opera legend.
