Report: Kyler Murray still not ruled out of game vs. Rams

Despite getting less practice reps and the addition of Drew Anderson to the roster, the Cardinals have not ruled out Murray in Week 17.

Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury said rookie quarterback Kyler Murray would be a game-time decision on Sunday in their season finale against the Los Angeles Rams. He is officially questionable for the game with a hamstring injury.

Despite Brett Hundley getting the majority of the practice reps this week and despite the promotion of Drew Anderson from the practice squad, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Murray still could start.

Rapoport reports that Murray’s status will in fact be decided on Sunday.

Teams must announce their inactive list 90 minutes before kickoff. Murray will have a chance to go through pregame workouts before then.

Kingsbury was unsure on Friday if Murray would be ready to go and said Murray wouldn’t play unless he were able to be comfortable and play at a high level. However, he also said earlier in the week, “if he’s able to play, he’s going to play.”

Murray is 103 passing yards away from 3,500 on the season, 56 yards away from 600 rushing yards and two touchdown passes away from 20 on the season.

The Cardinals and Rams kick off Sunday afternoon at 2:25 Arizona time.
