Kyle Hamilton started Notre Dame’s game against Duke Saturday as if his hair was on fire.
The star sophomore safety made four tackles and defended a fourth down pass that stalled Duke’s opening drive. Hamilton suffered a scary looking injury Saturday though that forced him from the game as he did not return.
The JOKer, Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah forces the fumble and the #Irish take over.
Also, Kyle Hamilton, the greatest football player in world history, with an ugly knee injury 😭

It turns out that it doesn’t appear to be a knee injury after all but instead a sprained ankle for Hamilton, at least according to Pete Sampson of The Athletic.
According to sources, Kyle Hamilton suffered a low left ankle sprain and will get a scan on Sunday to determine the next steps. It’s unclear on his availability for USF next week.
Overall, good news for the Irish safety.

I’d guess that it’d be an upset to see Hamilton suit up next weekend against South Florida but stranger things have certainly happened before.
We’ll likely find out more on Sunday but it would appear that Notre Dame dodged a huge bullet in regards to the severity of Hamilton’s injury.
