The health of Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, coach and father to UFC lightweight champion [autotag]Khabib Nurmagomedov[/autotag], has take a turn for the worse, according to a new report.

On Tuesday, Russian media outlet RT reported that Abdulmanap is again in a coma and on life support. He is being treated after undergoing a heart bypass operation, according to the report.

Late last week, it was reported that Khabib’s father woke up from a medically induced coma after complications from pneumonia led to heart surgery at a military hospital in Moscow.

But on Monday, Khabib said the heart surgery was the result of complications due to the coronavirus. He also described the impact of COVID-19 on his family.

“More than 20 of my close relatives have suffered (from) COVID-19 and also had to stay in intensive care,” Khabib said in an instagram video. “Some of them are not with us anymore.”

Abdulmanap was first hospitalized in Dagestan in late April after experiencing what was, at the time, believed to be pneumonia. He was later transferred to the military hospital in Moscow once his condition worsened.
