Report: Kevin Durant’s manager could be in running for Knicks president position

The New York Knicks are in search of a new president. Rich Kleiman could become a candidate to fill the position.

On Tuesday, Steve Mills’ time as President of the New York Knicks came to an end. Initially, reports indicated the Knicks decided to part ways with Mills. However, when the Knicks announced the move, the organization expressed Mills was leaving — making it sound like it was his decision.

Either way, Knicks owner James Dolan has to find a new president for the organization.

Initially, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski was reporting Dolan would try to pursue Toronto Raptors president Masai Ujiri, but there was a quick shift as a possible candidate came up. Woj then reported, “The process for a successor is likely moving faster than the time needed to wait on an Ujiri courtship.”

Then there was another change in New York’s line of thinking:

This shift brings things to Kevin Durant’s manager, Rich Kleiman. According to Marc Berman of the New York Post, Kleiman is a candidate that should not be slept on.

Also, Berman added Kleiman “has always desired to run the Knicks.”
