When the Brooklyn Nets announced on Tuesday that four of their players had tested positive for COVID-19, the organization did not disclose any names of individual players. The Nets did, however, state that only one player was exhibiting symptoms and the other four were asymptomatic.
Additionally, the team said in its statement, “All four players are presently isolated and under the care of team physicians.” Also, the Nets are, “currently notifying anyone who has had known contact with the players, including recent opponents, and is working closely with state and local health authorities on reporting.”
Shortly after the news broke, Shams Charania of The Athletic reported Nets superstar forward Kevin Durant was one of the Brooklyn players who tested positive for COVID-19.
Charania also reported Durant is “feeling fine,” and the Nets superstar said:
Everyone be careful, take care of yourself and quarantine. We’ve going to get through this.
Durant has not had symptoms and was among four positive test results on the Nets. The two-time NBA Finals MVP's message is one for everyone to heed: Stay quarantined. https://t.co/7E58fcyFjm
