Even though the Brooklyn Nets’ win in Boston on Tuesday was all about Caris LeVert, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving’s names still came up in the course of the game.
Before the Nets’ comeback became real, Celtics fans were chanting “Where is Kyrie?” late in the game.
Durant, on the other hand, was brought up on TNT’s broadcast. Sideline reporter Chris Haynes offered an update on the superstar forward, stating Durant is “getting stronger, playing some 3-on-3, and looking like the KD of old.” Haynes has also been told the forward is “ultra-motivated for this comeback.”
TNT’s broadcast also displayed a text from Durant to Haynes, which read as follows:
I’m solely focused on rehabbing and improving every day. But it’s fun watching my teammates go through this season. I can’t wait to get out there with them next season and see what we can accomplish together.

While all of the Durant updates have been positive, this one is different. The fact he’s “looking like the KD of old,” might be the best bit of news Net fans have been given yet.
Durant’s injury is a rough one. There is reason to be concerned about just how much Durant will look like his old self.
Based on this new update, it seems more likely that Durant could fully regain his form.
