Since his firing in early October, we haven’t heard much from former Colorado football head coach Karl Dorrell. Most assumed that he’d eventually get back into coaching, but it was unclear where.
Apparently, Dorrell is looking to get back into the NFL as Nicki Jhabvala of the Washington Post reported on Tuesday that the Washington Commanders are interviewing the 59-year-old coach for their vacant wide receivers coaching position. Head coach Ron Rivera’s Commanders recently hired another former CU Buff, Eric Bieniemy, as their offensive coordinator.
Prior to his two-plus seasons leading the Buffs, Dorrell spent time coaching wide receivers with the Miami Dolphins, New York Jets and Denver Broncos.
The Commanders are interviewing former UCLA receiver and head coach Karl Dorrell for their WRs coaching vacancy, per source. Dorrell was most recently the head coach at the University of Colorado.
