Report: Julian Edelman will undergo at least 2 procedures this offseason

Julian Edelman’s injuries were significant.

New England Patriots receiver Julian Edelman will undergo procedures on his knee and shoulder this offseason, according to the Boston Herald’s Karen Guregian. Edelman suffered a knee injury in early December and dealt with the shoulder injury for most of the season.

Here’s what the Boston Herald’s Karen Guregian reported:

Edelman played with a separated AC joint in his left shoulder, which was first reported by The Athletic’s Jeff Howe. Later in the year, the slot receiver was also dealing with an injury to his left knee, which will now require a scope to identify and help remove a loose body. His shoulder will be surgically repaired.

Edelman didn’t miss any time during the 2019 season, even if he had some production problems in final three games, likely as a product of these injuries. Edelman had 100 receptions for 1,117 yards and six touchdowns. His 100 catches were good for fifth in the NFL, and his yardage total was a career high.
