In a surprising bit of news, it turns out former Washington Redskins tight end Jordan Reed already has a healthy free-agent market.
According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Reed already has a potential suitor in the Los Angeles Rams.
Call it a quick turnaround for Reed, who was still in concussion protocol recently until he wasn’t, which then led to the Redskins cutting him. His long history of concussions and the fact his latest had stretched on since the preseason, made it seem unlikely he’d have suitors in free agency so early.
Either way, the Redskins elected to move on after getting out from underneath his big contract and probably want more reliability at the position.
As for Reed, the Rams would be a fun fit if he can stay healthy, as he’d be deployed in an offense led by the offensive genius of one Sean McVay.
Rams have spoken to former Washington TE Jordan Reed about a potential signing, per source. Reed is training in Miami and still wants to play.
