Report: Jonathan Kuminga remaining a strong level of interest around the league

In his second season, Jonathan Kuminga averaged 9.9 points on 52.5% shooting from the field with 3.4 rebounds in 20.8 minutes per game.

After their title defense came to an end with a loss to the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round of the playoffs, pivotal questions loom over the Golden State Warriors as the offseason is officially underway.

A player with a potential question mark hanging over their head is standout sophomore forward Jonathan Kuminga. After shining in different moments throughout the regular season, Kuminga’s playing time significantly dropped in the postseason. Kuminga played under 10 minutes in all but one game throughout the playoffs. The G League Ignite product didn’t see the floor in three different games during the postseason.

Despite his lack of playing time in the postseason, the league is still interested in the young slashing forward. According to Zach Lowe of ESPN, there remains “a strong level of interest” in Kuminga around the league.
