The 76ers have re-entered the James Harden conversation after it seemed like the Rockets were unwilling to send their star to former Houston general manager Daryl Morey, who now runs things in Philadelphia.
While Harden has officially reported to camp and underwent his COVID-19 testing, per league rules, it appears he still wants a trade — and he has expanded the list of teams he’d like to play for instead of the Rockets. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Harden’s list expanding is the result of Houston not making any progress with the Nets.
“Opening it up further and telling the Rockets there were more teams he would be interested in being traded to, including the Philadelphia 76ers, was a nod by him to the fact that nothing’s moving with Brooklyn,” Woj said on Sportscenter with Scott Van Pelt. “So if he wants to get out, he’s gotta be willing to look at some other places.”
