Report: James Harden discussed idea of joining Nets with Kevin Durant

Kevin Durant and other members of the Brooklyn Nets have been working out in California throughout the summer.

It looks like Kevin Durant has been doing a little more than remind everyone he’s still one of the NBA’s best players, despite missing all of 2019-20 so he could rehabilitate his surgically repaired right Achilles, while training out in Los Angeles this offseason.

Details about the James Harden-to-Brooklyn rumor have started to trickle out since the initial report surfaced on Sunday. And, according to Adrian Wojnarowski, Ramona Shelburne and Zach Lowe of ESPN, Durant discussed the idea of a reunion with Harden in Brooklyn while they were in training in Los Angeles this offseason.

“The idea of playing together again came up during Harden and Durant’s offseason workouts together in Los Angeles,” the ESPN report reads. “Sources said the players talked openly about whether the combination could work and how a trade facilitating it could work.”

Kyrie Irving, Caris LeVert, DeAndre Jordan, Taurean Prince and Spencer Dinwiddie have all been seen working out in Los Angeles, as well.
