With Urban Meyer setting up shop with the Jacksonville Jaguars, the team undoubtedly will be looking for electric playmakers on offense and special teams this year. With that being the case, many fans are banking on the team to draft a receiver come April, whether it’s early or late in the process.
Due to these circumstances, fans have singled out Purdue receiver/ offensive weapon Rondale Moore as an interesting fit who could add some speed and playmaking ability to the offense. Those same fans will also be happy to know that he’s one of the prospects from the 2021 draft who the team has spoken with, according to Justin Melo of the Draft Network.
#Purdue WR Rondale Moore has recently met virtually with the *deep breath*.. #Seahawks, #49ers, #Saints, #Broncos, #Colts, #Patriots, #Jaguars, #Jets, #WashingtonFootballTeam & #Chargers.#Titans and #Packers are among the teams coming up in March for him. #NFLDraft

The league’s interest in the 5-foot-8, 180-pound receiver certainly isn’t shocking when looking at what the game has evolved to offensively. As a do-it-all player, Moore has experience as a returner, receiver, and has also been utilized out of the backfield.
When reflecting on Moore’s career, his first collegiate season was his best as he accumulated over 1,250 yards for 12 touchdowns. However, in 2019, he struggled with a hamstring injury and played in just four games. He also missed multiple games in 2020 with a lower-body injury. As a result, Moore is a prospect who will enter the draft after participating in just seven games in the past two seasons.
Moore ultimately finished his career with 178 catches for 1,915 career receiving yards and 14 touchdowns. He also was able to garner 931 career return yards from 2018-19.
With durability and size concerns, Moore is projected to be a late first-round pick or early Day 2 selection by analysts. And while he may be a fit for the team from a playmaker standpoint, it remains to be seen if his health is something that could veer them away.
