The Jacksonville Jaguars made some roster transactions Monday by waiving running back Jeremy McNichols and defensive end Chuck Harris, according to the Associated Press’ Mark Long.

One of the roster spots freed up by Monday’s transactions will be occupied by running back Chris Thompson, who the team signed a few days ago. As Long pointed out, the other roster spot will be filled out at a later time which would put the Jags back at their capacity of 90 players.

The Jags signed Harris back in November as a member of their practice squad. He originally entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Chicago Bears last season but only got to play in four preseason games with them.

McNichols, a former fifth-round pick for the Tampa Bay Bucs (2017), joined the team’s practice squad last December. He was promoted to the main roster prior to the Jags Week 15 games against the Atlanta Falcons but didn’t register a carry.

As for some veterans the Jags could add, Markus Golden, Aaron Lynch, Pernell McPhee, and Brooks Reed are some notable names who are looking for new teams at the moment.
