As the Philadelphia 76ers continue to rework their entire staff from top to bottom, they will inevitably lose some people from the previous season. After bringing in new assistants such as Dave Joerger, Sam Cassell, and Dan Burke, they have lost much of their previous coaching staff.
Joseph Blair left for the Minnesota Timberwolves, Kevin Young left for the Phoenix Suns, John Bryant left for the Chicago Bulls, and now Ime Udoka has found a new home.
Udoka was in the running for head coaching jobs with the Bulls, the New York Knicks, and even the Sixers, but he will now move on to another assistant position with Steve Nash and the Brooklyn Nets. He was an assistant with the San Antonio Spurs for seven seasons before his one season in Philadelphia.
Udoka spent seven years on Gregg Popovich's staff in San Antonio, and has interviewed for several head coaching jobs. He spent last season with Philadelphia. Jacque Vaughn is the Nets top assistant coach. Nash has built a strong staff for his first season as head coach. https://t.co/apfndGdlnM

It is interesting to see both Udoka and Mike D’Antoni head to Brooklyn after both guys were in the running for the Philadelphia job before they hired Doc Rivers. Either way, Udoka now has a new opportunity to continue his coaching career with the Nets. [lawrence-related id=38720,38723,38717]
