Report: Greg Olsen signing with Seattle Seahawks

Tight end Greg Olsen will leave the Carolina Panthers for the Seattle Seahawks, according to a report.

Greg Olsen is great in the broadcast booth. His most recent years have been cut short by injury with the Carolina Panthers. However, the broadcast bidding for the tight end will have to wait.

Olsen is going to sign with the Seattle Seahawks, giving Pete Carroll and Russell Wilson another weapon on offense.

Olsen played four seasons with Chicago before moving on to Carolina. He had 524 of his 718 career catches as a Panther. Olsen has 8,444 receiving yards and 59 career touchdown catches. One note of caution: Olsen has played in a total of 30 games over the past three seasons.

Olsen has been a bright spot doing color on FOX’s XFL telecasts in the first two weeks of the new league. He has also done NFL games on the Panthers’ bye weeks the past couple years.
