Report: Greg Olsen is negotiating with teams, Redskins included

The free agent could make a decision soon.

The Washington Redskins could soon find out if they get an early win in free agency via a Greg Olsen reunion with Ron Rivera.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Olsen is done visiting with teams and is now negotiating contracts. Besides the Redskins, the Buffalo Bills and Seattle Seahawks appear to be in the mix.

Washington doesn’t necessarily have an edge, but the former Carolina connection with Rivera sure doesn’t hurt. One thing both the Bills and Seahawks can boast though is recent playoff success.

The Redskins front office hasn’t been shy to pay up big on the market lately, though. And tight end is a particularly dire need this offseason with Jordan Reed not available consistently and Vernon Davis retired.

At the least, the Redskins remaining in the running this late in the process is a good thing.
