The Oklahoma City Thunder G League affiliate — the Oklahoma City Blue — will continue to play their 2022-23 home games at Paycom Center, per The Oklahoman.
This is a course reversal for the franchise. Thunder general manager Sam Presti said during his exit interview in April that the NBA and G League wanted the Blue to no longer share an arena with the Thunder.
It appears that issue is resolved — at least for next season.
The Blue spent last season playing at Paycom Center after being forced to move from Cox Convention Center.
For the Thunder, the benefits of the Thunder and Blue sharing an arena are huge. It makes it easier for players on both levels to stay on the same page and makes roster decisions seamless.
