Former Washington Football Team quarterback and free agent Dwayne Haskins will visit the Carolina Panthers on Monday, according to a report by Ian Rapoport at NFL.com.
Carolina was the last team that Haskins played with Washington before he was cut a couple weeks ago. Haskins got into trouble in the days leading up to their Week 16 matchup by being photographed maskless in a public setting, his second violation of the league’s COVID-19 protocols this season. He was stripped of his captain status as a result. Haskins followed that with a gruesome performance against the Panthers defense, throwing two interceptions and posting a 4.1 QBR. Coach Ron Rivera released Haskins the next day.
Haskins was a first-round pick by Washington in the 2019 draft but has yet to live up to his potential. He’s only completed 60.1% of his passes, thrown more interceptions (14) than touchdowns (12) and has a 3-10 record as a starter to date.
